Travel d’Or™

The Tourism Industry Gala Evening

Travel d’Or™ are fully independent awards created in 2009 by Frédéric Vanhoutte, founder of Eventiz, to recognize the most outstanding companies in the tourism sector.

The Travel d’Or™ awards ceremony generally takes place in March and each year celebrates travel professionals, emerging players and industry personalities, honoring their skills and creativity in their field of expertise.

How the Travel d’Or™ Awards Work

1.
Selection

Eventiz identifies about 350 leading, challenger and new entrant travel companies.

2.
Applications

Companies not on the list can submit an application for the presented categories.

3.
Survey

Nominees are evaluated through an independent institute survey.

4.
Shortlisting

A top five per category is established based on the survey results, then candidates are evaluated on economic, ESG (environmental, social and governance) and digital criteria.

5.
Winner Selection

A top 1/2/3 is determined. If only one candidate stands out (top 1), it automatically becomes the winner. If two or three remain, the expert jury selects the final winner.

6.
Announcement

The 2026 Travel d’Or™ winners were announced at the gala evening on March 19, 2026 in Paris.

*An expert jury from various sectors reviews the applications.
